Front: Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948), founding father of Pakistan

Jinnah was born in Karachi where he received his early education. He studied law in London 1892-1896, and moved to Bombay to begin his legal career in 1897.

Jinnah started his political career in 1906 when he attended the Calcutta session of the All India National Congress as a Private Secretary to the President of the Congress. In 1910, he was elected to the Imperial Legislative Council. He sponsored the Waqf Validating Bill, which brought him in touch with other Muslim leaders. Jinnah joined the All India Muslim League in 1913. His tireless effort to secure a homeland for the Indian Muslims eventually led to the creation of Pakistan.
