Front: Aram Ilich Khachaturian (1903-1978), composer of classical music
Khachaturian was born in Tiflis, Georgia to a poor Armenian family, but lived
most of his life in Moscow. He studied cello and music composition, and in 1951
became professor at the Gnesiny State Musical and Pedagogical Institute in
Moscow and the Moscow Conservatory.
