Front: Sir Frank Worrell (1924-1967), West Indian cricketer and Jamaican senator

Worrell was born in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was the first black cricketer to captain the West Indies cricket team for an entire series. When he left professional cricket, he became Warden of Irvine Hall at the University of the West Indies, and was later appointed to the Jamaican Senate.

Barbados, A coral island located in the West Indies east of St. Vincent, was under British control 1627-1966. Became independent and a member of the British Commonwealth in 1966.
