Front: Antonio Vaca-Diez, (?-1897) Bolivian rubber baron
Vaca-Diez was a former presidential adviser. He would go on to build his
rubber empire, The Oton Rubber Company. Vaca-Diez also established the first regional
newspapers, and nevigated the first riverboat from Bolivia to Europe. He was drowned
in a shipwreck in 1897. Vaca-Diez is remembered as a great Bolivian.
